Piotr Boguslawski

A Multi-Talented Artist - Painter, concrete Sculptor, Designer, and Photographer Based in New York, Working Everywhere.

Piotr Boguslawski is a Polish artist born in 1967. He is a graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Art, Department of Design, where he studied painting under the guidance of Professor Jacek Sempolinski. Boguslawski is a member of ZPAP, the Association of Polish Artists and Designers.

From the beginning, Boguslawski has been a designer specializing in concrete and steel, and he currently works on various painting projects, including Synthe, Concentrated Point, StreetLove, COLORS, Le Jardin, and My Body/Your Body. Boguslawski draws inspiration from 20th-century artists, both European and American, creatively reinterpreting their artistic discoveries. He boldly enters into a dialogue with the most outstanding trends in contemporary painting and inherits a great sense of color and the power of its expression from such masters as Paul Gauguin, Henri Matisse, and Mark Rothko.

In addition, Boguslawski experiments with monumental formats of canvases and methods of applying paint, texture of the painting, and inscriptions to achieve completely new effects. He also enjoys a pop-art dialogue with today's consumer culture. Boguslawski is interested in the impact of the juxtaposition of image and space on the spectator. He searches for an ideal form for a painting as a visual composition and, at the same time, a specific object in space, examining the interplay of a piece of art and the interior in which it is placed.

Apart from painting, Boguslawski also designs three-dimensional objects. He creates lamps and sculptural compositions by combining concrete with other raw materials, revealing his passion for "rough" matter and expressive forms. With his multidisciplinary approach, Piotr Boguslawski is a versatile and unique artist who continuously pushes the boundaries of his creativity.

“"My passion is to convey any given feeling, thought, or message through artistic means. Composition, color, and format are of paramount importance as they are the three major factors that convey the intended feeling. These elements produce the desired effect. I have the ability to paint any picture with any color scheme to capture any mood. Additionally, I can create a series of images. I aspire to create paintings that are twice as large and even more evocative than anything I have done before."
